The Power Pak and H2 Programs extend their commitment to reducing childhood hunger through a weekend, Snacks and Sneaks Summer Program.
The S&S Summer Program distributes an electronic benefits card to students who have been qualified through Power Pak during the school year. Participants then use this card at partnering retail stores to redeem nutritious snacks for consumption in between meals during their summer break. Students choose from a list of pre-approved foods, vegetables and fruit that nourish their bodies and promote good health.
The S&S benefits card also enables students to redeem one pair of sneakers to ensure they are well equipped to be active throughout their summer break. They simply take their card to a participating store to redeem their new kicks!
*Benefits for each student is stored on their card. Only the participant named on the card or a designated and approved proxy can redeem the benefits. Cards can only be used during the time period outlined on the card. A new card is issued, for qualifying students, after card expiration.
