My career goal is to become a part of an organization that creates efficient power grids that use renewable energy. Smart grids are an example of this; they use consumer feedback to supply the consumer with ample amounts of energy. The smart grids can use wind and solar energy to power themselves. I will accomplish this goal by gaining knowledge and connections through internships through college and the summer before my freshman year. Another goal of mine is to become a high-ranking employee in whatever company I am employed at to make my main goal easier to accomplish. I will serve my community by giving back to it through the education system. Where I am from, Aliquippa, PA, it doesn’t have the greatest education system, so I want to make sure that those who come after will have an opportunity to receive a great education without having to go to another school district. In addition, I will build apartments with my brother so there will be more affordable housing for those who aren’t able to afford regular housing. This scholarship will help me achieve my goals by lowering the financial burden I will have throughout and after college. It will allow me to focus solely on my studies instead of having to get a part-time job and possibly a full-time job to make ends meet.
