The Power Pak Program provides healthy, tasty foods that school-aged children take home on weekends during the school year. The Power “Pak” contains nutritious, easy-to-prepare foods, as well as snacks. The Pak breaks down into four healthy meals and two snacks.

Presently, we serve five school districts in Pennsylvania: Aliquippa, Rochester, Riverside, Freedom and Reading. The total amount of aid exceeds $140,000. The average cost to distribute 200 Power Paks is $36,000 per school year.

Through partnerships with local school districts, the food is stored in participating schools’ cafeterias. Leak proof, low density, bags are then packed by school nutrition staff and volunteers. The “Paks” are discreetly distributed to eligible children on Fridays or before school breaks.
